My return to State Farm Arena came on one of the biggest stages in basketball. I was in the building for Game 6 of the 2026 WNBA Finals between the Atlanta Dream and the Golden State Valkyries on Thursday, October 29, 2026. It was my first trip back since the arena was still known as Philips Arena, which I covered on an earlier visit here. My game recap is on the blog, and this post is all about the venue.

With the Valkyries one win away from a championship, the Dream scored 32 points in the first quarter, led by as many as 25 and won 80-69 to force a Game 7. My full recap of the game is here.

Here are my thoughts on State Farm Arena.

Pros

The biggest pro was just getting in the door. Tickets for this game were hard to come by, and I was able to secure a seat for one of the most anticipated games of the WNBA Finals. I sat in Section 225, Row M, Seat 11, and my ticket was $107.01 with fees. I parked in the Sapphire Deck for $62.46.

The fans were engaged from the opening tip to the final horn to root on their Atlanta Dream. The in-arena entertainment was fully involved too, and it kept the crowd going during every timeout and stoppage in play.

Speaking of the entertainment, it was on another level. Crime Mob, T-Pain and Young Dro all performed on the court, and Boosie and Webbie even put on an impromptu performance from their seats.

Cons

Concessions were on the high side for what was considered the premium offerings. I paid $36 for a loaded sweet potato and a drink, and turkey legs were going for $20. If you want something more standard, there are regular concession options too. Here is a look at some of those prices before tax:

  • Italian Sausage: $15.25
  • Chicken Caesar or Club Wrap: $13.00
  • Cheese Nachos: $9.75
  • Cheese or Pepperoni Slice: $9.50
  • House Salad: $9.00
  • Hot Dog: $8.75
  • Pretzel: $8.75
  • Candy: $6.25
  • Souvenir Popcorn Bottomless Bucket: $16.00

My wallet felt it, but the game experience made me forget about it pretty quickly.

Overall Game Day Experience

I would give State Farm Arena a 10 out of 10. An engaged crowd, a lineup of Atlanta performers and a Dream win to force a Game 7 made this one to remember.
